Graduate Women International

A member of Trinity Women Graduates is also a member of Graduate Women International (GWI) and of its regional group University Women of Europe (UWE).

Graduate Women International (GWI) is an international network linking women graduates from all over the world, all fields of study, all professions and generations.  It has national affiliates in 54 countries and individual members in more than 40 others.  It was founded in 1919 after World War I by women graduates who believed in the importance of working together for peace, international understanding and friendship.  GWI today advocates for women’s empowerment through access to quality life-long education.  It promotes women’s advancement in leadership and decision-making roles.

University Women of Europe (UWE) , founded in 1981,  is a network of associations of graduate women from 19 European countries working in partnership with the Council of Europe and the European Women’s Lobby to address issues impacting the lives of academic women throughout the European community.
