Invite to NWCI Members Meeting

Trinity Women Graduates are invited to the next NWCI members meeting which will take place on Tuesday 4th February in Dublin.

The Citizens’ Assembly met for the first time on 25th January to commence its deliberations on gender equality. The Assembly, chaired by Dr Catherine Day, former Secretary General of the European Commission is tasked with bringing forward proposals to advance gender equality.

The Assembly has very broad terms of reference which include identifying and challenging social and economic norms that facilitate gender inequality, examining pay inequalities, recognising the importance of care and work life balance and seeking to ensure equal participation and leadership in the workplace, politics and public life.

The Citizens Assembly will soon be inviting submissions from the public and NWCI will be making a submission.
