The Irish Federation of University Women (IrFUW) is celebrating its Centenary this year with a number of events to honor and celebrate the remarkable contributions and achievements of women in education over the past 100 years. We are delighted to announce that the Centenary Conference and Dinner is taking place on Saturday 12th of October at the United Arts Club. This significant even, hosted by Trinity Women Graduates and the UCD Women Graduates’ Association. TWG members are invited to join us for a day of insightful discussions, historical reflection, and commemoration.

10:15-11:15 AM – Talks about early IrFUW Presidents
11:15-12:00 PM – Coffee Break
12:00-12:30 PM – Celebration of 100 years of the IrFUW Public Speaking Competition, sponsored by Arthur Cox
Afternoon:
12:30-1:15 PM – Talk from activist Máirín Beaumont
1:15-1:45 PM – Talk from Professor Emily Anderson, codebreaker during the second World War
1:45-2:00 PM – Closing remarks by Kathy Sheridan
2:00-3:00 PM – Lunch
3:00-4:30 PM – IrFUW Council Meeting
Evening:
6:30 PM – Wine Reception
7:15 PM – Centenary Dinner at United Arts Club, with speaker Frances Fitzgerald, former MEP
Registration Fee €40 or £34 (Obligatory – it must be paid by all conference attendees; this includes Tea/Coffee and lunch).
Wine Reception followed by Dinner €50 or £45 (Additional guests are welcome to attend the dinner without paying the Conference Registration Fee).
